Receiving the ERKUT 1935 Third Prize at the Kayseri Architecture Festival

Gökalp Kalfa, Zehra Çelik and Sertaç Erbilgin were awarded Third Prize in the ERKUT 1935 Entrance Spaces and Surrounding Environment National Student Idea Competition, organised by Erkut İnşaat for the historic Sümerbank Textile Factory in Kayseri. Gökalp represented the team at the award ceremony during the 3rd Kayseri Architecture Festival, receiving the prize on the team's behalf from jury chair Prof. Dr. Deniz Dokgöz.

The team thanks Erkut İnşaat for organising the competition and for its welcome, and the jury for their feedback. The winning proposal, The Journey of Fabric, turns fabric into a formative element of the factory's courtyards, interiors and eaves.
